The Marangu Route, commonly known as the Coca Cola route, is favored for its shorter duration and permanent sleep huts at the campsites.
Summit night from Kibo Hut is steep, passing Gilman’s Point to Uhuru Peak. This shorter route with a steeper incline and less acclimatization time tends to have a lower summit success rate. It shares the same ascent and descent route, resulting in higher traffic.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel for briefing, gear check, and equipment rental.
Depart from Moshi for a 1-hour drive to the Marangu Village and Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. After permit issuance, enjoy the rainforest scenery and trails. Lower elevations may be muddy and slippery.

Continue through heathland into the saddle connecting Mawenzi and Kibo. Marvel at the summit climb up Kibo.
Start early for the summit, ascending through scree and snow to Uhuru Peak. Enjoy the sunrise before descending to Mweka Camp for the night.
Descend to Marangu Gate, stopping at Mandara Huts for lunch. Tip your guides, cooks, and porters before returning to Moshi for celebrations.
